Le Creuset in the Silver Sands Premium Outlets recently opened their doors for a special in-store cooking demo by the Camille Withall, Executive Chef of George’s at Alys Beach. Le Creuset is a French cookware manufacturer known for their quality products and festive colorfully enameled cast-iron cookware. Their products were perfect for showcasing how to create the perfect “gulf to table” meal for this event.
Camille wowed guests with the ease at which she took everyday ingredients, and created an extraordinary meal. Guests sipped wine while watching Camille take fresh snapper provided by Destin Ice Seafood Market and lightly seasoned and seared it to a jerk-crusted masterpiece. The perfect compliment to the fish was a unique forbidden black rice dish with chopped vegetables and coconut milk and sweet and savory grilled plantains. The cherry on top of the meal was a tangy fresh fruit salsa. Each guest was able to sample this delightful Cajun meal, and were left asking for seconds. Attendees were able to enjoy this exclusive presentation and even pick up some lasting cooking tips to take home with them!
