Under a vibrant spring sky, the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) opened its 30th Annual Concerts in the Village series on April 9 at the Dugas Pavilion welcoming guests to an evening of live music, community, and celebration.

Centrally located between the historic Destin Harbor and Destin Commons, the outdoor series has featured an eclectic mix of performers, from The Fabulous Thunderbirds to tribute acts like Purple Masquerade and Black Jacket Symphony performing Van Halen’s 1984.

Guests enjoyed live entertainment alongside food trucks serving ribs, barbecue, and Latin-inspired fare, while raffles offered prizes ranging from gift baskets to concert tickets.

“We are so excited to launch our 30th anniversary Concert in the Village series with an amazing band like Smash Mouth,” said Demetrius Fuller, CEO, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. “There are still nine opportunities to come out and show your support whether it’s becoming a MKAF member, volunteering, or buying a concert ticket and hitting the dance floor, we look forward to seeing everyone at some point during this special season.”

A nonprofit dedicated to championing arts and culture, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation has inspired over 420,000 children through arts education since 1995. Now in its 30th season, Concerts in the Village remains a signature Emerald Coast experience. To learn more, visit mkaf.org.
