The Best in Destin Black Tie Ball serves as the grand finale of the annual Best in Destin Readers’ Choice Awards hosted by VIP Destin Magazine — one of the Emerald Coast’s most anticipated and talked-about events of the year.
Earning the title of “Best in Destin” is a highly coveted honor among businesses throughout the Destin area, with fierce competition building each year. The excitement begins in October when nominations officially open, allowing readers to nominate their favorite local businesses across a wide range of categories. During the nomination period, supporters may cast one vote per day, per email address.
Once nominations close, votes are carefully tabulated and the Top 10 businesses in each category advance to the final voting round held in November. After weeks of spirited competition and thousands of votes from the community, winners are officially revealed in the February issue of VIP Destin Magazine.
The celebration culminates in March at the elegant Black Tie Ball, where more than 300 guests gather for an unforgettable evening of recognition and celebration. Attendance is exclusive to winners and invited guests, creating a true VIP experience from start to finish.
Guests are welcomed with a glamorous walk down the red carpet before enjoying an upscale cocktail reception, dinner, live on-stage award presentations, and dancing late into the night. Photographers capture every memorable moment paparazzi-style as attendees celebrate their achievements in true VIP fashion.
The excitement continues long after the evening ends, with event highlights and photos featured in the April issue of VIP Destin Magazine. Winners also earn the distinction of displaying the official Best in Destin logo and proudly carrying the title of “Best in Destin” throughout the year.
