Alys Beach is a town straight out of a dream. With stunning white architecture offset by expertly manicured green lawns, it’s the picture perfect venue for any event. Delicious aromas filled the air when the town recently hosted a good ol’ Low Country Boil. The lawn outside of Fonville Press was transformed into a chic backyard style party complete with twinkling market lights and picnic tables. Fonville Press is the town’s café, newsstand, bookshop, wine bar, and local’s gathering spot. Guests enjoyed sipping wine by the fountains and catching up with friends as the sun began to set.
Guest lined up to try a variety of wines provided by Broadbent Selections. Founded in 1996, the company focuses on family-owned wineries with quality and character, which was easy to see by the first delicious sip. Throughout the evening everyone was entertained by the folksy tunes of The Blue Ribbon Healers. The food was the star of this show, though! With crocks piled high with fresh shrimp, potatoes, sausage and juicy corn, guests ate until their hearts content! American Culinary Federation Certified, Alys Beach Executive Chef Kevin Korman is known for relying upon local farmers and fishermen to create his exciting and flavorful dishes. The savory meal Korman cooked up was incredible down to the last bite. The sky was painted a brilliant pink sunset, outlining the iconic white butteries and rows of swaying palm trees as the music played on into the evening.
